Currently I'm working on my documentary movie
'To live in the North!'
Russia is a northern country, but many avoid the cold, and consider winter as a period for postponing life and plans. Everyone strives to go to south at any opportunity... but what is there, in the north?
I want to really get to know the cold and learn the philosophy of life of the indigenous northern peoples. First, I will go to live in the tundra with reindeer herders in Yamal, then I will try ice bathing in the coldest inhabited place on the planet, Yakutia. And then head to Buryatia, where I’ll ask the buddhist lamas a blessing for my expedition to Baikal, there I will need to skate 100 km on ice and spend the night in a tent. And in the end, all-Russian winter swimming competitions await me.
